Religion and Religious Views
Religion plays a huge role in this television series. Jane and her family are devout Catholics who often encounter difficulties with their faith while trying to maintain modern lives. The show both criticizes and praises the Catholic church, while dealing with issues that have been somewhat controversial in the eyes of the church.
